Why Join?
Anyone can apply to become a member of Clifton Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Your decision to join Clifton Beach is the first step to becoming a member of a vital community service. You will make a difference!
Your membership will be an investment in yours, your family’s and indeed your community’s safety. Being a lifesaver is a unique and rewarding experience. It provides a great opportunity to develop a range of new skills, build new friendships, be part of a great Australian icon and work as a team to ensure everyone can enjoy a safe beach environment. The skills and knowledge developed are highly transferrable. For younger members the skills and knowledge gained are very useful when applying for a range of jobs.
Lifesavers are also sports men, women and children. You will have the opportunity to participate in Junior, Senior and Master Surf Lifesaving Carnivals. A wide range of disciplines are on offer from team relays, beach flags, swimming races, board rescues, surf ski and boat races. Carnivals are a great way to improve on your surf skills and fitness while enjoying the camaraderie of, and competition from, fellow competitors.
Whether you are looking to be part of lifesaving patrols, surf sports competitions, training and education or be involved in a great family activity there is a place for you in our club.
